There is no entry requirement or assumed project management experience.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Understand the project lifecycle and the key phases required to deliver projects successfully.
2. Apply core project management principles and tools for planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
3. Engage stakeholders and communicate effectively to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project.
4. Monitor, report, and close projects while capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Students will use a range of practical examples to learn about:

• Project Management Lifecycle: Understand each stage—Initiate, Plan, Deliver, Monitor, and Close—and how they connect.
• Core Knowledge Areas: Scope, Cost, Time, and Quality Management.
  Enabling Functions: Risk, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement, HR, and Procurement.
• Initiating a Project: Develop a project charter and set clear objectives.
• Planning for Success: Define scope, create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), build timelines, and set budgets using practical case studies.
• Building the Team: Assign roles and responsibilities for clarity and accountability.
• Delivering the Project: Engage stakeholders, manage communication, and mitigate risks.
• Tracking Performance: Monitor progress and report status effectively.
• Closing the Project: Capture lessons learned and celebrate success.

This course is designed for anyone who is either working as part of a team on a project or has interactions with a project team.

Students that successfully undertake this course will be issued with an official Certificate of Completion from Certitude.

Students will be provided with:

• Printed copy of a student workbook for in person classes; and/or
• Access to the electronic version of the presentation slides and workbook.
